Webinars and trainings
FitzMe offers a wide range of interactive (online) workshops and webinars that are tailored to each specific target group. We distinguish between brief workshops centred around raising awareness so employees know why it is important to take the first step with the right energy and more extensive webinars where the focus is on acquiring knowledge and skills.
Sleep from a 24-hour perspective
A healthy night’s sleep is dependent on many different factors. Sleep is part of a 24-hour cycle that is influenced by sleep hygiene, light management, nutrition/drinking, movement behavior, coping with stressful thoughts, and the ability to relax. In other words, a healthy night’s sleep is partly determined by what you do and don’t do during the day before you go to bed.
These different aspects are systematically discussed during the workshop so that participants can pick out the exact aspects that apply to them. In addition to providing understanding, this workshop also immediately sets a number of tailor-made action points that participants can get to work with!
Train your brain: mindfulness 2.0
Nowadays, people are increasingly demanding more from their minds and especially from their “analytical” left hemisphere of the brain. This can lead to the feeling that your head is overflowing and that you can no longer properly distinguish between the things that are really important and the things that just seem important. Training mindfulness (“being mindful”) is a way to regain focus. It provides greater peace, more contact with yourself, other people, and more pleasure in daily activities.
This 2-hour training introduces employees to mindfulness in an approachable way. Participants will learn a number of methods they can use to apply mindfulness at any time of day, in any given situation. These methods are implemented in the training, so that each participant can find a way that suits them and can immediately start to practice.
Objectives (Train your brain)
The training is geared towards employees who are already aware of the excessive load on their minds and are looking for tips and tools to get out of their heads on a regular basis.
Objectives of the training are:
- Participants recognize the symptoms of an overloaded mind;
- Participants know methods of applying mindfulness;
- Participants learn to make more conscious choices, focus better, and bring more peace to their thoughts.
Health nutrition: know what to eat
People no longer know what is healthy. It’s difficult to determine what’s true and what’s nonsense with all the information on nutrition available in the media and in books. In reality, people often eat too many calories but don’t consume enough nutrients, which can lead to obesity and the deterioration of one’s physical condition.
In the two-hour training on healthy nutrition, participants will learn some simple guidelines that will help them make smart choices regarding nutrition. These new insights increase participants’ motivation to pay attention to their eating habits. Initial opportunities for improvement are also presented. Participants choose their own actions and make them concrete and achievable so they can start working on their goals the very same day.
Objectives (Training Health nutrition)
The training is geared toward employees who are already aware of the importance of a healthy diet. The training provides inspiration and tools that allow them to make better choices.
Goals of the training are:
- Participants know how to assess information about nutrition for both truth and usefulness;
- Participants know how to choose healthy products;
- Participants know what to look for in a varied diet;
- Participants know how to make sure they consume the right amount of food (not too much, and not too little
Check-up: am I moving enough and what can I improve?
- 2 x 1.5-hour
This training will explain the various elements of good basic fitness (heart & lungs, strength, agility). Participants gain an understanding of their own physical condition, and they gauge the extent to which they are meeting exercise standards. Attention is also paid to finding a balance between stimulation and recovery. Participants look at how to make sufficient exercise feasible in their daily lives. The substantiated information and insights from the training allow for decision making and creating an action plan for a more active lifestyle.
In this three-and-a-half-hour training you will assess your own physical condition and determine if you are satisfied with how you are doing now. You will also be presented with guidelines for adequate exercise and the reasoning behind them so you can determine if there are things you want to improve. You will also receive a number of tips to easily find ways to move more.
Objectives (Check-up: am I moving enough and what can I improve?)
This training is intended for employees who have already determined that they want to move more effectively. The main goal of the training is for participants to be able to create a well-founded plan for themselves that fits their own situation. The substantiated information and insights from the training allow them to make decisions and create an action plan for a more active lifestyle.
The goals are:
- Participants know what to look out for when improving/maintaining their physical condition, which includes endurance, muscle strength, and agility;
- Participants can estimate how much and how effectively they are currently moving and exercising;
- Participants know how to determine a feasible approach to getting and staying sufficiently active;
- Participants can choose their own action of improvement that they can start working on immediately.
